How to rip DVD to M3U8 for HTTP Live Streaming with Android?

Step 1: Load DVD files.

Launch the program and click Load button to import DVD movies from disc, Folder, ISO/IFO files. As you see, all added files will be listed below and you can preview them, take snapshots.

Step 2: Choose output profile

Navigate the Format and set the output format as “HLS Streaming(m3u8) > ipad m3u8 streaming > iphone m3u8 streaming or ipad m3u8 streaming”.

Tip: Click “Settings” button to customize the output video and audio settings by yourself. Video codec is the default H.264 and audio codec is the default AAC. You can change the resolution, bit rate, frame rate as you need. But if you are not good at it, you’d better use the default parameters, they will ensure you a good balance between file size and image quality basically.

Step 3: Start converting DVD to M3U8

4.You can confirm the HTTP Server address by typing 127.0.0.1 in your browser.

5.Build a folder name “m3u8” under the path of E:\xampp\htdocs

6.Transfer your M3U8 files under this folder, you will then be able to access all your files in the browser with the HTTP Server address: 127.0.0.1/m3u8

Now, you can stream the converted DVD files to your Android with a HTTP Server.
